    Overview

The Land Registry is the State authority responsible for the registration of property transactions in Ireland and operates under the aegis of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Based in three office locations in Dublin City and one in Waterford City, the Land Registry has approximately 650 employees.

Their core business function is the maintenance of a statutory Register of Title to property in Ireland. This involves the processing of applications for registration arising from property transactions and the provision of access to folios and maps that make up the register, for inspection or certified copy purposes.

Since 2005, the Authority has been progressively putting its services on-line. As well as providing greater access to stakeholders, this has resulted in significant efficiencies in the processing of casework, and reducing overall transaction and handling times.

Key to the process was the conversion of the historic property portfolio which Landmark undertook between 2005 and 2010
